There's no better bead-shaft unity than what nature can make her dang self. Unless you want the plastic contact sound, you can give up over-engineered (but still fragile at the bead) multi piece mallets right now.

The Rudy Garcia sticks feel good. The rebound they produce is surprising, and the weight of the sticks is heavy but not too heavy, they're still nimble. Great sticks.
They feel good in the hands a but light but nothing tape cant solve but the lightness of them makes getting around the drums nice they rebound a very considerable amount so it makes scrapes easier
