The Remo Snake Skin Tar is constructed using a SKYNDEEP fixed drumhead pitched to produce the desired overtones that professionals listen for. The Snake Skin graphic is an actual image taken from an original animal skinned drum, and now can be reproduced without harming any animals.

I am new to drumming and wasn't sure which drum to choose. The Steve Weiss staff were incredibly helpful and I ended up choosing this 16 inch Remo synthetic snakeskin Tar. It arrived quickly and it's a beautiful drum, great quality, sounds wonderful, and the snakeskin looks authentic--I love it and love playing it! I'm sure I'll be back to buy many more drums here. Highly recommend.
