I love this practice pad and it's stand! I wanted to get back into drumming but had given away my practice pad and snare drum to my nephew when he was starting out. This was a great way for me to get back into it and build up my chops while I start saving for and deciding on a snare drum of my dreams. The stand is really well-made and sturdy. The tilt adjustment doesn't make the pad totally horizontal, but it's barely noticeable. And most people probably wouldn't play it totally flat, I imagine. It doesn't bother me, but I though I'd mention it. I love the feel of the pad and the coated head. It really responds well and articulates the different dynamic levels. I love that it has a proper rim. This is an upgrade from my old practice pad. Having a rim really simulates the sound and comes in handy when a piece calls for rim shots or playing on the rim. I'm so glad I got it, and the value for what you get is great!
