Description
Scored for organ and percussion quartet, Soundscapes by Dr. Robert W. Rumbelow explores many of the sonic possibilities of the pipe organ and accentuates these with a wide array of battery percussion, gongs & other metallic instruments, and keyboard percussion. Soundscape was commissioned by the 2009 International Jordan Organ Competition.

Percussion 1 (taiko drum, orchestra bells, 2 medium tams, 3 low Noa bells [or temple bowls], bowed crotales)
Percussion 2 (taiko drum, vibraphone, 3 high tams, nipple gong, small temple chimes, bow)
Percussion 3 (taiko drum, 4.3-octave Marimba, rising chinese opera gong, lowering chinese opera gong, bell tree, china cymbal, medium wind gong, hi hat cymbal for bowing, large tam, bow)
Percussion 4 (4 concert toms, chimes, triangle, finger cymbals, high and low suspended cymbals, bass drum, large sandblocks, brushes, temple bowls or water glasses G, C, Ab and D, conga, brushes)
