Description
Somewhere in Africa There's a Whirlwind by Gordon Stout for marimba duet. This exciting virtuosic work was written for Marco Schirripa and Sean Gill is scored for two five octave marimbas. The whirlwind portion of the title refers to the fast passage in the marimba one part. The Africa portion refers to the rhythm of the marimba two part, which is based on the African double bell pattern.
