Tongue and Groove for marimba and alto saxophone was written by Robert Paterson on commision by the CASE Arts Group Inc. along with a consortium of performers. It received its world premier March 15, 2009 at Kutztown University, performed by Jeremy Justeson on alto saxophone and composer Robert Paterson on marimba.

The work contains the score, alto saxophone part, and an oversized marimba part.
