I purchased four pair of these and am quite satisfied with them. The sticks are balanced in weight and although hickory, are not as heavy as other sticks with the same dimensions. They are just slightly longer than 16" but this is not a hinderance, as it allows for a little bit more of a reach. I will definitely consider these again in the future. .
