Description

When power and projection are the priority, the Vic Firth American Classic 2B Drumstick delivers. Thicker and heavier than the iconic 5A, the 2B is the go-to choice for drummers who need more mass behind every stroke — making it ideal for heavy rock, concert band, and hard-hitting practice sessions.

American Classic Construction

Turned from select American Hickory, the 2B benefits from the full American Classic pedigree. Hickory's natural density gives the stick a pronounced, powerful feel with minimal flex, while its ability to absorb shock makes it exceptionally durable through heavy playing. The tips are deeply back-cut for intensified cymbal response, and the tear drop tip shape delivers a full, rich sound across cymbals and drums alike.

Who Is the Vic Firth 2B For?

The 2B is the natural choice for drummers who find a 5B slightly short on weight and authority. Its larger diameter and familiar medium taper make it a powerful tool that still maintains rebound and control — equally at home in a marching band pit, a rock rehearsal, or a concert percussionist's stick bag.

Some people say this is a close cousin to the SD1 general snare stick because this stick is good for anything. Soft, loud, and anywhere in between is a simple task for this pair. The fact that VF pitch pairs makes them 100 better!
