Normally good but...

So I love the feel of these sticks and how they don't slip from your hand (although the anti-buzz pad slides). However, at my HS's first game, I hit a rimshot at I guess an awkward angle and the entire bead flew off. I've also had trouble with the black bead tip falling off too, as it is just glued on. Sadly unimpressed with this mallet that I've loved until now.
Pretty good, but....

The sticks are durable, light, easily maneuverable and are all-and-all pretty nice. Except my first month using these sticks the grip slid off...multiple times. I hope it's not the the same for all aluminum sticks but I don't really trust Vic that much anymore. I hear Vic has some very well balanced wooden sticks that are made of mostly Hickory which is the closest thing durable next to aluminum. I'd pick a wooden pair and if you're looking for a hard synthetic head, I'd go with the nylon tips, they have a few and probably have the articulation you're looking right for if you choose to look at aluminum.
great sticks!

great rebound on these sticks. the sticks are loud so if your the only tenor in the band, it will be the best choice. Only bad thing- sometimes the anti buzz grips slide off when your playing so apply some electric tape on it and it will be fine.
