These mallets are great. They have a solid weight distribution and have a great sound. A little expensive, but Steve Weiss always seem to keep the price down!

The Vic Firth MB4H Marching Bass Drum Mallets have been field tested and field proven throughout years of collaboration with the world's finest drum and bugle corps.
The Vic Firth Marching Bass Drum Mallets feature tapered hickory shafts, which shift the weight of the stick towards the hand for improved balance and control. Spherical heads provide a consistent striking surface.

Very well balanced, light weight, and give off an almost unbelievable BOOM!! March with an Irish Pipe Band,and the lads now have no trouble hearing the beat from behind them.
