Yamaha Keiko Abe MKA-03 Hard Rattan Marimba Mallets - Product Information

The MKA03 is the Hard Mallet in the Yamaha Keiko Abe Mallet series. Extra weight has been added to the core. To keep the mallet well balanced the Shaft was shortened to 400mm. Good quality yarn is used as a finishing wrap.

The MKA03 will be suited for solo two mallet performances. Perfect for faster more intricate passages that utilize the marimba's upper octaves.

These are nice weighty mallets, and like all Abes, they're pretty flexible. I used them for Mayazumi's xylophone concerto (but on marimba) and prism (solo)
