This was the first mallet instrument I purchased, and I could not be happier! As said in the other review, the instructions are a bit interesting to try and follow, but a friend and I were able to figure them out. The sound is beautiful, crisp, and clear, and it's a gorgeous instrument to look at. One thing with the motor: the buttons that control the fins stopping either open or closed don't actually coincide with how they stop, but that may have just been a result of me not properly attaching the resonators. Overall, it's a wonderful first personal mallet instrument (especially if you prefer graduated bars) and I would suggest it to anyone looking to purchase a vibraphone.

I am very pleased with this vibraphone. It arrived quickly and wasn't too hard to set up (be warned, it is a lot of just figuring it out). The sound is nice and crisp, and the motor is great. Adjusting the height is easy, but does require two people to do both sides at once. It's also drop-dead gorgeous. This is the first mallet instrument I've purchased, and it was definitely worth every penny!
