Everything they are advertised to be. Crisp, clean, they cut without being obnoxious, and they swirl so well. I wish I had found them sooner.

Excellent pair of maracas! The shape of the handles fit in the hand well well. The sound is crisp and cuts through when needed. Able to control and vary the volume of the sound and shake. Well constructed. Great addition to the percussion tool box!

This instrument creates the perfect swirl sound the band needed for playing Incantation and Dance.

Very loud maracas. Not terribly good for low dynamic levels, but excellent for swirling and unmic'ed band gigs. I was slightly disappointed that they are completely sonically matched (so they don't work well for traditional music or John Cage's works calling for different pitched maracas) but I am still very pleased with my purchase. I plan on buying the rawhide or plastic (imitation) rawhide maracas to give me softer, and different pitched options.
