Description

The LP Original Bongos are a replica of the set first crafted by LP Founder Martin Cohen in 1964. Each set of LP Original Bongos is a faithful re-creation of the satin mahogany drums, complete with original 1964 head graphics, natural rawhide heads and special commemorative badge.

Outfitted with traditional chrome-plated rims and hardware, the LP Original Bongos are made with 6-3/4" and 8-1/4" diameter shells.

I wanted to treat myself to a top of the line set of bongos and chose this model based on reviews on line and LP's reputation. They are great! I like the projection and the tone. I get a high pitch "slap" on the macho drum with a rich bass tone on the hembra drum. They are beautiful to look at and listen to. I've had compliments galore in the short time I have owned them. And Steve Weiss can't be beat for service as usual. Jim in sales answered a number of questions I had and followed up on delivery for me. He went through extra effort to provide the shipping date and tracking information. Highly recommended.
