When I got the pad 2 months after using it the wood started to break and spread apart causing the right Spock drum to lose rebound close to the left Spock making the playing zone awkward and unnatural. The pads themselves aren't bad but aren't that realistic. The hinges in the pad are trash, I had to take them off and drill the pad to a board. The foam in the underside started to fall off and tear 6 months after use. Overall the pad isn't great but for what it's worth I can see why it's bad. My opinion is to just get the more expensive one with Vic firth or Offworld's foldable version. Or get something custom like Xymox, Rampad, or Drumslinger if you can find one.

It is difficult to do sweeps on the pad, but I like that it arrived in good shape! It was really worth the wait!!! Thank you guys for a better and cheaper price for this pad! :D

This was perfect for my HS child who wanted extra practice on the tenor drums. The school has practice pads that are heavier and bulky, and they have to be left at school. This one is lighter and folds up. He places it on his desk or the table to practice. One thing that could use improvement is there is nothing to hold it flat, like a locking mechanism. If not on a flat surface, it will fold back in half. It didn't work well on a traditional drum pad stand because of that. However for tenors, a table or desk is the perfect height. It was a good purchase for us, but not a perfect product.
