black tar mess

Nice brushes, but the tar mess sucks. I took mine apart , pulled the brushes out of the handles and cut / removed the black rubber caps, cleaned the inside of the handles with awesome / wd40 / & brake cleaner using a round bristle brush that took care of the problem . I highly recommend that when you purchase these immediately, before use, remove the rubber caps, throw them away, reassemble the brushes and you'll never have the tar problem.

Tried many brushes, but always return to Vic Firth. Never let's me down and quite durable. Another great product from a trusted source, Steve Weiss.

The wires bring out the perfect texture and sound. The butt ends even make a wonderful cymbal swipe.

Medal pull rod very difflcult to move, getting worse. Brush itself is good.

No flaws they play like wire brushes. Not sure jazz vs any other style.
