These do exactly what Danny Carey intends them to: Hit hard and cut through a wall of guitar sounds. I love these for heavier/industrial sounding drum set tones, and feel great in my hands, having come from the drumline world--they feel more like a rudimental stick, but with a taper and tip for the drum set.

These sticks are extremely comfortable. Don't be fooled by the size of these sticks. They are well balanced,the weight is great and they really make your cymbals sing. I think that you could probably play any kind of music with these. The cut-in design is what makes these so comfortable. I do not have large hands and I have no issues getting around the kit with these sticks. I have purchased different sticks from Steve Weiss and these so far are my go to stick. Steve Weiss is always top notch!
