Great product
Great product
Absolutely amazing sticks they have amazing tone with a nice heavy weight to them a good middle ground not to heavy and not to light like hardimons I read a review who said they were knock off hardimons from the diameter which isn't true the diameter is the same but is drastically different the rennicks have a different tip and I think have a better feeling the hardimons can feel really thin and light and don't have good projection on a drum but the rennicks are heavier and have better tone when playing project better with a much higher pitch because of the heavier weight
We love ordering from Steve Weiss because they are fast and accurate. My drummer goes through marching field sticks like you wouldn't believe. I usually end up ordering late on a Monday evening and have them in hand Wednesday. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is because sometimes the sticks aren't matched...meaning the pitch and weight are not the same within a pair. That is not something Steve Weiss can fix, that's an Innovative Percussion issue. I order 4-5 pairs at a time and usually there is 1 pair that isn't matched. It's so important for a pair to match. We usually ask for heaviest weight, highest pitch and Steve Weiss does a great job of sending what we ask for. IP just needs to do a better job of pairing the sticks together. I will always go to Steve Weiss for our percussion needs!
This was our second time ordering from you and am satisfied! Quick shopping and fast cart checkout. Will be ordering in the future again, my daughter loves your drumsticks.
Diameter .710 Long Taper Barrel Bead Yep, its a Hardimon knock off. Just get the original, they are more consistent pair to pair.
The innovative FSPR2 is a great stick. Its super fat and the taper is great. However, the worst part about the stick is that when purchasing the stick. The stick can either come brand new and fresh, or completely dead. I've had roughly 20 pairs, and every pair is different. It's still a great stick either way.
Great companion sticks for the FSPR if you are looking for some timbre change in your playing or shows. These heavier, more robust, sticks have fantastic response and rebound. I enjoy these sticks in my students hand in an outdoor season, having them play with some more power and giving their drums quite a full sound when played at a larger dynamic height. I recommend these sticks to anyone.
This product is a good product and fulfills the purpose of it's intent.
Everything I expected and more!
Ordered marching sticks and drum pad. Great price and quality.
The sticks came in very fast and were packaged well. No damage occurred. The sticks are very well balanced and give the player more control over their stick and hands. Even though it probably wasn't purposeful, I like that i received both a heavier and a lighter pair in my 2 pair order. Heavier stick can be taped up multiple times creating added weight for chop building, the I can play with my lighter pair and it'll feel like breeze playing. I love Steve Weiss. Always on point. THHANK YOU!!!
This is a great stick and has a fantastic feel. The stick is very well balanced and the tip of the stick produces great rebound and requires almost no effort. The weight of the stick combined with the bead allow for playing quick passages as well as great control and produces a nice bright sound with the white hickory. Steve Weiss also shipped these products to me extremely fast. I ordered on a Friday night and recieved the products on Monday afternoon. Thank you Steve Weiss for your great Customer Service and products!
One of my favorite sticks, but the pair sent to me was completely awful. I hit two notes on a drum and threw them away. Completely unmatched. Very light and low pitched sticks. Awkward weight to them. Maybe this a problem to take up with IP, but sticks that don't own up to standards need to be discarded and not given to loyal, paying customers.
In response to Steve's post, these sticks came clear-coated, so they might have been updated since his review.
my personal favorite stick along with ralph hardimons, you can't go wrong... great durability if taken care of, nice rebound, articulate at low stick heights, all around great sticks...
I really enjoy using these sticks. It's going to be my last year as a marching percussionist in high school and I have been through my fair share of sticks. Out of all of the ones I have used I must say that the FS-PR2's are my #1's. Long taper, bullet barrel bead, great sound quality as well as great rebound. You can't go wrong with Paul Rennick. I give these sticks 5/5.
These sticks have a great sound to them. Even at low stick heights I can still get a lot of clarity out of the drum. They have a size similar to the Ralph Hardimons from Vic Firth and other large diameter snare sticks, yet they have that classic Innovative Percussion feel that is really light-weight. The only thing negative I can say about these is that they don't have any type of paint on them or covering, so if it rains or they get wet the sticks absorb a lot of it and it takes away from the sound quality.
This stick is very nice, here in Brazil, very drummers using.
