This Vibra-slap sounds just like it should (think "Crazy Train"), quality is solid and the price is great!

Nice for the price!
Comments:
Very lightweight, very long sustain, good sound! Works great for my middle school and junior high - I might invest in something nicer for high school.

Great sustain
Comments:
I had purchased a different vibra slap from another online store and returned it immediately because it had no sustain and I was very disappointed. Also went to a music store in my city and was equally disappointed.
Based off customer reviews i decided to purchase this model but didn't have high hopes given that the price was less than half of the music store model.
It was by far the best I've come across and far exceeded my expectations.

Nice sounding vibraslap. Great sustain. A little lower in pitch than others but not at all an issue.

Weiss Vibra-slap
Comments:
This thing is awesome! I got two of course. Much longer sustain then the most common slaps on the market. Great job on this! Drives the dog nuts though! :-)

Silky Smooth Vibra-Slap.
Comments:
I play this vibra-slap attached to a special mount that allows me to strike it with one hand while playing drum set in a bossa nova band. This product does not have the initial attack, volume or throatiness of the "name brand" competitor however it has a silkier rattle with a longer sustain. It's more musical to my ears and sounds so much better on the specialized mount than the "name brand". I'm loving it. Thanks!

wood chamber vibra slap is ....awesome!
Comments:
I have a recording studio in Los Angeles, and needed a good vibra-slap sound to add to the percussion collection. Wasn't crazy about the name brand sound or price, so I rolled the dice on one of these, and it totally paid off. Great purchase. (great throaty rattle and long sustain)
Very pleased.

Really Good
Comments:
Excellent sustain and much more versatile than I would have imagined. By holding the instrument in different ways, various effects and rhythms can be produced (as well as the traditional vibra-slap sound).

One weak vibra-slap in the group?
Comments:
This vibra-slap has a nice long resonance and has a powerful, bright, wooden sound. However, the one that I received ended up falling apart when 1 of the 2 pieces of the wooden chamber fell off after playing it a few times and the metal bearings inside fell out. I more or less repaired it, but was surprised when it happened since I hadn't played it too aggressively. This vibra-slap seems to have mostly good reviews, so it may have just been one instrument out of the group, but wanted to mention it.

Top shelf!
Comments:
I've had both a Ludwig & an LP vibra-slap...I think this one sounds better, rattles longer, and is more responsive than either...more affordable too. Once again Weiss delivers a better product at a better price. Also, their customer support...it's second to none (ty Bob).

Great vibraslap
Comments:
I'm an oboist, not a percussionist, but I conduct at a band camp so I try to stay up on best options at affordable prices for our students. A percussionist friend told me about the Weiss Vibraslap saying it surpassed the name brand vibraslap in every category he could think of: quality of sound, volume, duration of sound, and durability--all at half the price. I was so impressed with the one he was playing in our symphony concert I added one to my band camp trap case of mallets and hand percussion.

Good sustain, bright tone
Comments:
This is a good instrument at a great value. It is a brighter sounding instrument than some others on the market but the sustain is off the charts!

Will never buy any other vibra-slap again...
Comments:
It has already been said, but I will reiterate...better pitch, longer sustain. I also like the rubber ball for use in the middle school program. It does leave a little to be desired as far as aesthetics, but we all know sound production and quality is more important that the look. I HIGHLY recommend this product!!!

Sounds as good as, or better than, all the other vibraslaps from other companies, and it's cheaper too! Very long sustain.

Weiss Does it Again
Comments:
Not only is this half the price of other Vibraslaps, it's also louder, smoother, and rings longer, too!
