I absolutely love this book. I think it has several great beginner exercises as well as very advanced playing options as well. This helped me with my tenor chops when I was starting to play and I still use it today!

This is an excellant book when it comes to proper technique and excersies. Although, in my opinion, this book doesn't really address the fact that the tenors are also a MUSICAL INSTRUMENT!!!! Tenors are not meant to just jam out on, you need to make music out of it, not loud and soft banging sounds. Also, if you are looking for some groovy MUSICAL tenor solos, don't choose the unneccessarily hard solos. If you are looking for great tenor, MUSICAL, solos, I reccommend Julie Davila's book.
