These are a really nice stick for lower volume playing. I use them at home for practice on my kit as well as at church to keep the volume low. They have great stick definition on cymbals of all weights as well as a nice long length for various volume positioning. Overall a big winner from the best sticks on the planet.

These sticks feel great for playing bebop tempos--it feels like the stick does almost all of the work for you with minimum effort. I love the tone these cymbals extract from my cymbals, and the feel on the drums themselves is not awkward as with some other sticks. It definitely took a minute for me to get used to these sticks, but now I love them and need them in my stick bag! Would absolutely recommend to any serious jazz drummer!

Great pair of sticks. Well balanced. They give a good sound and they respond well on cymbals.

These are some of the best sticks I have used in over 70 years of playing. The cymbal sounds are outstanding, and excellent for latin or the big band sound. I have used the regal nylon tips for years to get the sound I want out of a cymbal. These sticks almost totally replace. Well balanced, and not to hard to grip. I highly recommend. Not for the boomers and crashers.:-)

Another great stick from the leader in the industry. The Vic Firth PE Ride Stick was just what I was looking for.
It has a great feel to it. Not overly thin, well balanced weight. The response off the ride cymbal is terrific. Most likely due to the longer taper on the shoulder section. Finally, the "tear drop tip" really brings out the true sound of the ride cymbal. If you're searching for that perfect stick for playing jazz, give this one a try.

This stick is ideal for smooth jazz, ballads, and Latin. The tip enables the full tone of the ride cymbal to be heard rather than the attack of the wood. They also work very well for buzz rolls at a soft dynamic. I always have these sticks with me when I play jazz. Erskine is the way to go.

This is the best set of sticks I've used. Great stick for jazz and fusion. The significant taper allows for a beefy stick in hand with a light feel on the cymbals and drums. Not ideal for rock but great for fusion and latin.
Umm...wow.

Frankly, these sticks are great. They produce warm sounds across the entire drum set, but can also have a bite when you want them to. Admittedly, the tips may wear out a little faster than you'd want...but with these sticks, ANY time would be too soon. I highly recommend these, depending on the type of music you're playing. Peter Erskine is a jazz great. As you'd expect, his sticks are also very compatible with the genre. And while they also make good rock sticks (the light weight and balance allows a lot of speed), I would avoid them for any type of music that involves riding on a crash cymbal or the like, as this thinnish stick would probably break real quick.
Overall, though, excellent piece of equipment.

This a great pair of sticks overall. They sound great on the ride but are also hefty enough to get a good snare sound. This is personally my favorite pair of sticks on the drum set simply because of the cymbal sound and rebound they produce.
