These are the BEST sticks. I have no idea why I waited so long to try them, but I am glad that I did. They are perfect for any type of music. You won't play like Steve Gadd, but you certainly won't be disappointed playing with these sticks. I like both finishes too so I think that just becomes a matter of personal preference. Steve Weiss is the best. Look no further for any of your percussion needs. Thank you Steve Weiss!

this all-around stick is great! it flies across the set, and is amazingly light. but its hard to break in the beginning, and starts to thin out at the end. the only draw back at all is that it keeps slipping out of your hand. you don't need to buy stick grip for this problem. i just simply used athletic tape. for a 1-10 scale, i give it a solid 9. good good stick. and if you like a lite jazzy stick this is it. but if you like to rock out, this is the fastest hard hitting stick I know.
