These mallets sound great on both xylophone and bells. On xylophone they sound almost as good as the Chitopher Lamb generals, but the two sound radically different on bells. An amazing mallet if you need to quickly go back and forth between the two especially.
Still sound good but the handle of the stick is not what is used to be , it's really fat and bulky now with hardly any give.
I bought these for my DMA auditions. These sound great on any instrument. The nuances speak out brilliantly. Worth the purchase! Only down side is I can see this breaking easily if you are not careful. Please be careful with them! The handle will snap like a twig.
These are some amazing xylo. mallets for orchestra use! They give a great, bright sound. If a solo is needed, these will give a great sound and at the same time a great sound will be projected to the listener.
Perfect mallet for Porgy and Bess!
They feel great and sound great too. Whenever I get a xylo part these are the first pair of mallets I pull out. However, as a glock mallet there are probably better choices.
These mallets are fantastic for pretty much anything on Xylophone, especially "Porgy and Bess"! Highly recommended!!
