The Meinl 12" Travel Series Rope Tuned Djembe has a synthetic shell and Goat Skin Head. Meinl set out to create a lightweight drum that produces high-quality traditional tones. They were very successful. The Travel djembe produces full bass tones, accents, slaps and harmonics. With the 12" Djembe the bass tones are full and projected. The hand selected goat skin drum head and synthetic shell makes this instrument very resistant to the natural elements making it perfect for hikes, camping trips or outdoor gigs.
