Pearl Championship Maple FFX CarbonCore Marching Snare Drum - 14" x 12" - Piano Black Lacquer

The Pearl Championship Carboncore Snare Drums feature 6 ply Maple Shell with one layer of ulta-light carbon fiber. The Carbon layer is there to really enhance the full dynamic range of the snare drum. The Shell is a completely free floating design in polished light weight aluminum hardware. The Carboncore line also uses Pearl's One Touch Snare system. This system allows for one touch release of the snares for quick replacement or tuning. The 16 strand Gut snares are individually tuned using an allen/hex key. The Snare throw off has been redesigned for 2015 to be simpler and sheds weight over older designs.
