Evans MX2 Black Marching Bass Drumhead - 32"

The Evans 32" MX2 Black is a 2-ply marching bass drumhead built for the demands of competitive and scholastic marching percussion. Constructed with two plies of 7.5mil film, the MX2 produces a bright, focused tone with a slappy, pronounced attack that cuts through the ensemble better than a single-ply head can.

In addition to adding attack, the second ply also adds durability. The MX2 holds up better under heavy use than a single-ply head and holds its tuning longer between adjustments. Both of these qualities make them well suited for high school and collegiate drumlines, educational programs, and any other group that just needs a drumhead that they can get a good sound out of for as long as possible. If you have heavy-handed players, two ply heads are a must. The head also ships with Evans' modular foam arc dampening system, which lets you dial in the sound for your specific setup, whether you're playing indoors or out.
