Balafon, Ambira, and Akadinda can be played separately or one after the other. These three compositions are inspired by African rhythms and timbres, transposed to the marimba. The titles are the names of melody instruments of wooden blades, which are used in various parts of the African continent.

Generalife, with its dynamic and rhythmic character, should be played rather wildly, almost brutally.

Pretexte, with its strong beat, is a piece inspired by jazz.

This product behaves beautifully. All the pages are in order and then title to each piece is clearly displayed at the top of each page. The numbers are sequential which eliminates concussion and there are no scribbles from 4-year-olds anywhere on the book. The language is conveniently written in French AND English and all the pages are held together by a firm cover. Also makes a good coaster
