Eagle-Salute to Marty Hurley, A (SP)-P

A Salute to Marty Hurley by Michael Eagle is a piece for Scottish Drum Corps but can also be played as a snare drum solo or a percussion ensemble piece. It was premiered at the 2011 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in Indianapolis, IN by an all-star collective of Scottish and American Drummers called The Ruff Drags.

This fusion drumming piece requires that all performers have a firm knowledge of both American and Scottish snare, tenor, and bass drumming. This work is dedicated to the late American drumming icon Marty Hurley.
