Scored for 8-10 players, this is arranged to mimic a concerto, pitting the xylophone in the soloist's role, against the rest of the ensemble. Still in its original key, this familiar material is filled out by ornamentation and countermelodies that give the ensemble players an opportunity to play classical music written just for them!
