Aluphone Handbells are handheld bells with a beautiful wooden handle. They can be used in Bell Choirs, where each member of the chorus operates one or more handheld tones. They can also add a new sound to marching bands.

The Aluphone Handbells do not have a clapper inside to strike the bell, you can play them by holding them the handle in one hand and play with a mallet in the other hand. Other technique is malleting bells (on the table or suspended).
