Amanaplanacanalpanama by David Macbride for percussion ensemble. The form and content of this piece are completely based on AMANAPLANACANALPANAMA. The piece, like the title, is (virtually) a palindrome. Scored for eleven players.

Instrumentation:
Every player (except player 6) needs one timbre with two distinct pitches (for example, two cowbells), two types of hand claps (high, low), and one instrument capable of three distinct timbres (for example, a snare drum playing normally, near the rim, and on the rim).

Player 6 requires any struck, pitched instrument (not voice or wind) which contrasts with one timbre instrument of other players. For example, glockenspiel against log drums, marimba against rocks, etc. Also, one instrument capable of three distinct timbres which contrasts with other players.
