Description
Anpro-Sifi by Ivan Patachich for percussion quartet. This work consists of seven short movements which are to be played attacca. In the first movement, the rhythms alternate between 7/8 and 4/4, and as a contrast, the second part has a rubato character. The strains of the third movement has a slight similarity to the first rhythmic movement. This is followed by a lyrical intermezzo with a climax at the end. After this quiet mood there is again an exciting rhythmic section. Following the cadenza-like marimba and timpani soli, the quartet finishes with some jolly and lively material.
