Kawamoto-Around The Corner (SP)-P

Around the Corner by Hideko Kawamoto for percussion quartet. This exhilarating piece emulates taiko drumming for four players. The piece begins with fairly simple syncopated rhythms and becomes more complex as the piece progresses. Taiko drums may be substituted with toms.

Percussion 1 - low and very low taiko, 2 cymbals
Percussion 2 - timbales, snare drum, cymbal, 2 low toms, medium taiko
Percussion 3 - bongos, snare drum, cymbal, 3 toms, medium high taiko
Percussion 4 - low and very low taiko, 3 cymbals, maracas
