Mertens-Asian Trip (SP-10 to 14)-B/C/V/M/P/FL

Asian Trip by Walter Mertens for percussion ensemble. This 10 to 14 player piece draws its inspiration from Japanese drumming. It also includes optional parts for alto flute and/or flute.

Instrumentation:
Player 1 - bells, snare drum, woodblock
Player 2 - chimes, snare drum, temple blocks
Player 3 - marimba, bongos
Player 4 - vibraphone, bongos
Player 5 - tuned gongs, tom toms, China cymbal
Player 6 - crotales, tom toms, China cymbal
Player 7 - bamboo chimes, floor tom, China cymbal
Player 8 - Chinese bells, floor tom, China cymbal
Player 9 - bass drum, tam tam
Player 10 - bamboo chimes, bass drum, tam tam
Player 11 (optional) - floor tom or small bass drum
Player 12 (optional) - floor tom or small bass drum
Player 13 (optional) - alto flute, bass drum
Player 14 (optional) - flute, bass drum
