As originally composed for orchestra with continuo, the Air from Bach's D Major Orchestral Suite #3 is recognized as one of the most iconic pieces of the baroque period. Here it is arranged for percussion ensemble and string bass with an interesting twist.By taking the original time signature of 4/4 and morphing the melody into a 3/4 jazz waltz, the piece is heard from a completely different and unique perspective.
