Description
This marimba quartet arrangement of J.S. Bach’s Fugue No. 14 in F-Sharp Minor comes from his Well-Tempered Clavier Book 1; BWV 859. This slow-moving fugue develops a beautifully longing subject melody into four voices. As the fugue develops, each voice reiterates the subject in new harmony, adding depth and richness. Bach’s masterful counterpoint is an ironic combination of simplicity and perfect complexity. This particular fugue is relatively short, not overly difficult, and can fit into many percussion chamber programs.
