Barber-Yard Sale (SP)-Books/games/toys

Clarence Barber's piece "Yard Sale" is a fun, not-too-diffucult quartet scored for various items one might find at a weekend yard sale. In Movement 1, all four players play pairs of differently pitched books; in Movement 2, titled "Collectibles", china cups, bottles and glass bowls are employed; the third movement, "Grandfather's Clock" calls for 2 cast iron skillets, along with woodblocks and tom toms; the fourth movement "Toys" utilizes a basketball, board game and other toys. If you're looking for a novelty piece to keep your young percussion ensemble engaged, look no further.
