Rice-Baroque Suite-5T

Baroque Suite by Dwayne Rice is a delightful four-movement suite of Baroque dances for timpani. The four movements are typical of an instrumental suite of the baroque time period in music. An Allemande is a duple meter dance of moderate tempo. A Corrente is an Italian dance in triple meter with a faster pace. The Sarabande is a slow Spanish dance in triple meter with an accented second beat and a Gigue is a lively baroque dance typically in 6/8 meter. It requires five drums and involves advanced tuning and pedaling techniques. Listening to the Bach Cello Suites will aid in accurate musical interpretation.
