First, many thanks to Steve Weiss for stocking an incredible number of fantastic instructional/technique books. I am an old drummer who collects drum books (old dogs can learn new tricks!) and was thrilled to find the Jazz series written by Charles Bellonzi. Bellonzi, along with Andre Ceccarelli, Daniel Humair, and Charly Antolini, all still out there, were huge on the European jazz scene from the 50s onwards. Great perspective on jazz and a great addition to your library. This first book is an intro, so might not be pertinent for more advanced players, but it's not too expensive and does have some interesting exercises. All in all, I think it's worth a look and am glad I was able to add it to my collection. Hope this review is helpful.
