This is my third review of the Bellonzi series and I would ask anyone reading this to take a brief look at my two other reviews to get an idea of where I'm coming from in relation to this series. First, these books are not commonly stocked in American music stores. In fact, I'm not entirely sure they're well-stocked anywhere. That, to me, is a shame. Bellonzi is a great drummer and educator. Book 3 is a more complex series of studies and exercises and would be a great addition to any jazz drummer's library. I understand that these books are not "cheap" and that a lot of the exercises are probably already in books that we all already own. Whenever I find an intriguing technique book by a drummer that I admire, I generally shell out the money to add those "technical" tools to my toolbox. Not an indispensable purchase, but a worthy addition to your library.
