After playing for many years, and coming back after many years of being away, this book finally taught me the fine points of technique that I always overlooked. Up strokes, down strokes, Moeller strokes, lots of exercises, and descriptions of how the technique changes as you go from slow to faster to fastest. After a few weeks, I was playing rudiments faster than I ever had before. This is a great book for anyone who is looking to improve technique in the realm of rudimental drumming.

I am a percussion major at a University studying to become a music educator. Bought this book to help me explain some of the motor functions and correct techniques to several of the drumlines I am working with. Bachman presents the material in a very clear and accessible manner that have certainly helped the students I am currently working with. Highly recommended.
