Bobo-Odyssey, According to Penelope-M

The Odyssey, According to Penelope by Kevin Bobo is a five octave marimba solo that was composed and premiered in Taipei, Taiwan during the summer of 2011. This piece is dedicated to and inspired by Kevin Bobo's daughter, Penelope. While the title would lead one to believe that the piece is inspired by the Greek character Penelope (wife of Odysseus), the piece has nothing to do with Homer's Odyssey. The five short movements are meant to represent several images from childhood to which both children and parents relate.
