Smales-Brazilian Beat (SP)-P

Brazilian Beat by Joel Smales is a creative collection of six original pieces for percussion quintet in a variety of Brazilian drumming styles. Scoring calls for agogo bells, shaker, whistle, cowbell, samba whistle, ganza, repenique, snare drum and surdo. If those instruments are not available, suggestions for substituting some of the instruments with more traditional instruments are provided. Parts can also be doubled to create a massive sound in the Brazilian tradition.
