Dior-Caliente Christmas (SP)-B/V/C/X/2M/4T/P

Caliente Christmas is a medley of Latin-tinged holiday songs arranged for percussion ensemble by Rick Dior. This piece features a unique percussion instrument that Rick Dior likes to call a "slapaphone" which consists of 3" PVC pipes in five different pitches and played with rubber-lined wooden paddles. If you are not interested in building a custom instrument, alternative options are outlined in the performance notes.

Instrumentation:
Player 1 - glockenspiel, bells, caxixi
Player 2 - xylophone, song bells or upper vibe, shekere
Player 3 - vibraphone (with mallets and bow)
Player 4 - 4.3-octave marimba, medium tubular wind chimes
Player 5 - 5-octave marimba, woodblock
Player 6 - timpani, high claves, large shaker
Player 7 - drumset, woodblock, bowed vibes (share vibe)
Player 8 - low temple block, small gong, 2 suspended cymbals, bongos, bass drum with cymbal
Player 9 - congas, mounted tambourine, high tubular wind chimes, mounted triangle
Player 10 - small shaker, castanets, orchestral chimes, large tubular wind chimes, high claves
