Varner-Celestial Elements 1: Earth (SP)

Celestial Elements 1: Earth by Michael Varner for snare drum and percussion ensemble. This movement reflects the orchestral role and sound of the snare drum. In this movement, players 3 and 6 each require a single timpani which can be borrowed from player 7's setup.

Player 1 - bells, brake drum, tom tom, brushes
Player 2 - xylophone, tom tom
Player 3 - chimes, crash cymbals, triangle, tom, timpani
Player 4 - marimba
Player 5 - vibraphone
Player 6 - four tom toms, low suspended cymbal, bass drum, timpani
Player 7 - four timpani, tambourine
