Varner-Celestial Elements 3: Fire (SP)

Celestial Elements 3: Fire by Michael Varner for snare drum and percussion ensemble. This movement reflects the brash contemporary "outdoors" character of the snare drum and demonstrates the players technical mastery of the instrument.

Soloist - snare drum
Player 1 - bells, brake drum, castanets
Player 2 - xylophone, marimba (shared with Player 4)
Player 3 - chimes, triangle, tambourine
Player 4 - marimba
Player 5 - vibraphone, bongos
Player 6 - four tom toms, low suspended cymbal, temple blocks, bass drum
Player 7 - four timpani
