Christian-Dakota (SP)

Dakota by Bobby Christian is a percussion ensemble piece for 7 players. This piece is a part of the Dick Schorey Percussion Ensemble Series. This piece is ideal for beginner ensembles. The xylophone part requires 3 mallets but can easily be split between two players each holding two mallets. Duration - 2'33"

Instrumentation:

Player 1 - bells, cymbal

Player 2 - xylophone (can be played by two people)

Player 3 - sleigh bells, tambourine

Player 4 - four tom toms

Player 5 - parade drum

Player 6 - timpani

Player 7 - bass drum, suspended cymbal
