This piece is relatively young and there aren't a lot of recordings of it, but it's a great piece for the marimba virtuoso. It has several different sections, makes extensive use of the low C, and keeps the audience captive. It demands advanced techniques such as triple laterals, smooth one-handed rolls, and inventive stickings. I would highly recommend it for a senior recital or graduate work.
