I like this product a lot. I bought one of these 20 years ago and I'm still using it. It lasts seemingly forever, it's louder than a felt beater. Which is handy when you're gigging with a little 16 or 18 inch bass drum. The wood doesn't wear down like the felt on a normal beater.

These beaters kick ass!

These beaters definately get some when it's time to rock. They leave a red paint on your bass drum patch but are balanced and solid as hell. Love em.

I was honestly expecting the wood beater to sound like crap. I bought two to replace my worn out felt beaters (turns out felt beaters and 'click' kick pads are not the best of friends). I really enjoy the punch I get out of them. They sound very good, and are slightly warmer sounding than plastic mallets. They sound good with louder styles of music (rock, metal, maybe pop). (I bought two for a double pedal).
