Daughtrey-Penelope-V

Written as a lullaby to the composer's baby daughter, Penelope by Nathan Daughtrey features a sweet, simple melody and brief harmonic/thematic departures. Originally titled "Lullaby for PJ" and conceived as a duet for bells and vibraphone in the collection "Duology: 10 Duets for Young Percussionists," the piece has been expanded to explore more chromatic harmonic progressions while still maintaining the beauty and simplicity of the original lullaby.
